Dried violets, dried cherries, the classic tar & Rose petal aromas. Truffles, dried leaves, leather. Fantastic acidity, lovely tannins and still a TON of life left.

Very balsamic smell and feel. Took 30 minutes for that to go away(or me to get used to it). Afterwards, the wine was complex, with notes of cedar,pleasant notes of red berries, some rusticity, maybe some tart. Did not smell roses but the overall impression is very positive. It was not the greatest Barolo but it was really good
