Full on tar and roses that took a good hour to come out. Burg-like in its vibe, lots of tension but managing to be smooth, leather-bound and loaded with extracted cherry and strawberry compote. Smoke. Soooooo long.

This has lovely texture with smooth fruit based tannins and a high toned freshness. Plum and black currant fruit on the palate with a mineral earthy edge and subtle floral notes. Seems ready to drink now and the next 3 to 5 years. From magnum with a 4 hour slow O after a double decant.

Magnificent bottle. Sappy, resiny, savory with black cherry fruit. Power and grace. Long finish.
