Needs time to open up. Started to soften after about an hour. Had 7/9/21. Brilliant. A little age has done this bottle well. Raspberry, leather licorice.

28 months in botti, no barrique use here as in other Azelia wines. Beguiling nose and palate, menthol, saline notes, blackberries, a nice minerality and healthy acidity. It has already a good inner harmony but will for sure gain complexity when the present tannins get smoother, while the beautiful fruit will for sure remain. This is a terrific showing for the "Margheria", which had its debut in the very difficult year 2002.
