A charming spicy chenin from Paarl, South Africa. Yellow-greenish color and heavy on the swirl; the nose is like smelling and tasting a clear mountain brook followed by pineapple, peaches, anise, and a bouqet of flowers; the taste is rich and spicy, the fruit and spicy herbaceousness is lined up nicely and the finish is long. Yes, I was gobsmacked by surprise at how great this wine tasted. 13.5% and 20 usd.
