Second bottle - tasting after the first bottle was tainted. Ruby coloration. With typical Sangiovese translucency. On the nose, cherry, strawberry, vanilla. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, rich and full bodied. Hints of balsamic, espresso and chocolate and a long layered finish with espresso and dark chocolate. Very long finish.

Dark ruby coloration. Translucency as expected with a 100% Sangiovese wine. Single vineyard. On the nose, dark cherry, strawberry, vanilla, and earth/rich soil. Forest floor and spice. On the palate… based on the whiteness on the cork this wine has been compromised. Extremely muted palate that mirrors the nose. A shame for a 240 euro wine as it seemed promising. I did have a second bottle shipped and hopefully it is in better condition.
