First of all I chose this wine because my granddaughter’s name is Ava. But I’m glad I did because it’s very good. For a full bodied wine it’s very light but full of flavor!

This blend tastes of cab and zin. It’s lighter than the Syrah dominated red blends out there, but it shines as a lighter, medium bodied red. It’s well balanced and if anything a little light on acid. Great berry flavors with a wonderful peppery finish. Tasted against Red Cluster red blend from Washington state, another can dominated blend. Ava Grace was the winner in this tasting.
