Xión Rías Baixas Albariño

Interesting on the nose: green papaya and fresh green grass. Elevated acidity sticking out on the palate, not integrated with fruit. Gold in color.

Extremely competent Albarino

Crisp and delicious. Paired perfectly with ceviche at Tanta Chicago. Yum!

Definitely getting on in its years. Golden color, disjointed palate...yet intriguing combination of scents of fresh herbs and papaya.

Pours canary in color. ON THE NOSE: honey nutty and citrus. ON THE PALATE: stone fruit, honey. Medium bodied with a short finish. Not at all Sauv Blanc like.

Oro pajizo, buena nariz, fresca anis, cítricos y fruta de hueso. En boca buena entrada, frutal greco y con la acidez muy viva en el final.

Deep lemon with saline and stone fruits and a touch of honeyed tropical fruit on nose. A little disjointed on its own but worked very well with the food and finished crisp.

Really not a fan. Viscous, almost off-dry, lacks the brightness and salinity I expect from good Albariño. Limpid and wet.
