A.T. Richardson
Chockstone Shiraz
Improving the bottle and while still decidedly new world, it showed more savory, olive and dark fruit notes than previously.

Apr 3rd, 2016Pleasantly reminded why I should drink more Oz wine. Dark purple. Plum, coffee, baking spice, mulberry. More tart than sweet even at 14.1%. Great with spicy tofu stirfry with Szechuan peppercorns.

Jun 2nd, 2013I’m a Christmas movie fiend 🎄🎥 What’s your favourite Xmas movie? And bonus points if you have a wine match for it 😉
We recently watched The Holiday while enjoying this bottle of A.T. Richardson Wines Chockstone 2019 Shiraz from the Grampians region here in Victoria.
A massive thanks to Made The Grampians Way for sending us over this sample to taste! You can find this hidden treasure and 5 others in the Off the Beaten Track Mixed Half Dozen for $165.
It’s a great way to support the region (especially after all the hardships of 2020) and taste a variety of the regions wines, right from your couch 🍷
We found this one a brilliant garnet red shade in the glass. On the nose it’s rich and full of spiced black fruit. While in the mouth it’s flavoursome and voluptuous with fine tannins and balanced acidity . Think black plums, dark choccie, spice and all things nice 😋
This wine was sent to me as a sample to taste and post about.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
