I ain't proud. Yeah it is roughly that time of year again. A time of dread (why I don't know; after all it is only Gamay, unlikely to hurt you). This one is good, though. Showing a richness and depth unlikely in the typical corporate offering. Plum jam, and blueberry jelly, even a little strawberry, and toasted marshmallow nose. The palate is grapey with a tangerine note beneath; raspberry soda pervades. That signature Brouilly or Morgon powdered grape persistence. For what it is: a winner! What it tells us about Pinot, I have no f---ing idea!
