Sweet blueberry, good acidity, earth and a touch of Brett. Really good. Probably my favorite VA producer. Thanks @Doug Hengel !

Second wine from Arterra Wines. Garnet red with moderate intensity and brownish edges. Layered and complex nose. Started with notes of carnations, white pepper, and wood in a cellar all just to start. Started to breathe and opened up with some savory spices, leather and freshly sanded wood. Loved the complexity on the nose. Light red cherries as well as an earthy and rustic structure on the palate. Solid acidity with moderate tannins (6/10) and a moderate body. Long and lingering finish. Definite potential to grow and made in a lighter style. Very enjoyable. Drink till 2022.

Lovely, a bit dirty, interesting spice and a little green on the nose, but good overall fruit acidity and balance.
