Artadi is a well known brand for Spanish wines, I have known it since I heard about the Spanish wine scene and tried different bottles occasionally, this Artadi is quite basic, it is based on 100% Tempranillo, it has a very dark color, almost black, aromas of ripe red and black fruits and a touch of spices, medium body with high acidity and a dry finish. My score 86, drink to 2022

Okay wine. Not very good with pizza and salad. Tasted better as we sipped after dinner. Tannic with light body. Hints of spice on finish without food. Nothing special here.

A highly perfumed, concentrated and dark fruit-dominated red, Artadi’s 2012 Tempranillo provides a taste of this great Rioja estate’s style at a bargain basement price. Ample enough to serve with rich foods as cold weather sets in, it also has the freshness and balance to enjoy by itself. (JR)
