Nov 24th, 2018Still hanging on after 17 years. Tannic out of the gate (amazingly) then it evolved into such a beautifully textured and graceful friend. Perhaps 2-3 years beyond its peak, but delicious.

This is a rarity in its best shape, old vintage Vinas de Gain straight from the cellar of JC. There is life in the bottle, a delicate nose and a soft, smooth little sweet mouthfeel. Ok there are sings of age, but that’s more than ok in a 30 years old wine.

Beautiful wine, 100% tempranillo. Complex, multi layered. Just the finish should be a bit longer

A well balanced Tempranillo. Bold tannins give a wonderful mouth-feel. Soft flavors of cherry and nice earthy under-notes. Very long finish.
