Art of War
Barossa Valley Shiraz
'Art of War' is a 2014 Barossa Valley Shiraz. It is a collaboration between Vinomofo and Teusner. A 6-pack goes for $90 which works out to be $15 per bottle. I tried this as part of a Nuffnang Product Talk opportunity: http://travellingcorkscrew.com.au/vinomofo-australias-online-wine-black-market/
Firstly this was Mr.Spittoon's fave wine from the Vinomofo collaboration pack, he couldn't get enough of it and when I asked him to contribute to the tasting note he just said 'bloody yum'. Here's what I got: It's a deep black red plum colour on the eye with black cherry and blackberry notes on the nose, a touch of red licorice and a certain freshness to it. The palate is juicy and silky with a medium body and an evocative blackcurrant after taste.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Don't forget, wine is subjective #TCWeekdayWine #sponsored

Dec 18th, 2017Bold, full body shiraz with plum, blackberry and some spice but very well rounded. Some tannin to go well with BBQ, beef and lamb. I would order this again!

Aug 13th, 2016Not a bad wine by any means, but there is also nothing exceptional or particularly interesting about it either. The basic fruit flavours are succulent, including plum and blackberry, the wine is very well balanced, and the tannins are quite fine and slightly drying. But there is not a lot of complexity going on. There are some basic savoury (meaty) flavours and a hint of peppery spice and subtle oak. A very quaffable shiraz, quite nice really.

Apr 1st, 2016Had this wine some years ago. This vintage packs a massive cherry and plum punch. Very smooth. Not a lot of pepper. Nice.
