Arnot-Roberts
North Coast Syrah
So great to see how a little age works with these wines; the answer is: really well. In the last few years this wine has unfolded and truly started to blossom.

Sep 28th, 2015Duncan saved the best for last at his arlequin wine merchant tasting. Tasting through the new chards and pinots, I wondered about how these wines age because they sure seemed tight and the Pinot was even tannic. This 2009 Syrah, however, was wonderful and open, showing all sorts of dark berries, pine, mint, forest-y character, and nice felty tannins. I'd decide to wait on the others, too!

Aug 7th, 2015A little young. An inky Syrah that will benefit from a little more cellar time.
