Deliciously unctuous. So fresh out of the bottle. Spirited and jumpy on the first pour. This wine walks a curious line between freshness and underlying funk. A beautiful expression of Trousseau from start to finish. All I can think of is umami in its purest sense with the dichotomy of bright fruit & complementary savoriness throughout this wine’s expression. Muddled strawberry meets rhubarb and light roast espresso grounds. Incredibly delicious. One of my top wines of the year.
Enjoyed on a cold autumn night w/ homemade Kabocha squash soup

Funky and fresh off the vine. Big nose, herbal and saline, floral, bright cherries and raspberries lurking under all that. Fruit comes forward once you’re sipping, with chewy tannins and lots of puckering acid. Looks like a mulled strawberry wine in the glass—gorgeous. Lots going on, wonder how it’ll all mellow together.

Such an interesting wine on its own, wish we had paired it with food, and probably will next time we are together.
Has quite a bit of salinity on the back end, surprisingly acidic. I would be fooled by the color in a blind tasting, as by the palette.

Funky and light with some fizz. One notch above a rosé. Unique flavor profile typically from Jura, this is the California version . It’s good, but a little more acid could make it great. Best chilled from the fridge.
