Small group for this month's WTF wine meet up, so why not hit up Fort Worth's best BYOB?

I didn't know AR made a cab, but I am very much happy to have found out they did. What a lovely change up from the fruit bombs out of Napa. This could pass for a young high quality Bordeaux producer. No leather notes, but I wasn't hit in the face with every fruit on the color spectrum. Decadent blackberries wrapped in clove, and rhubarb pie. Beautiful texture on the palate. Plums, and black licorice in the mid palate but the finish has a sweet french bread, black cherry cola note. Thanks Jose!

Big full bodied Cab that needs a couple more years in bottle. Has all the stuffing BUT needs a couple years in the cellar. Limited so I had to try it. Had with dinner at OSTERIA in Moorestown Mall.

2012 vintage. Still has a youthful color, but is starting to exhibit some secondary flavors. Slightly rustic dark fruits with pencil shavings, black current, a touch of tobacco and a lengthy finish. Very nice.

Ripe aromas of cassis, tobacco and old leather jacket.. vibrant purple color with beautiful acid/fruit balance on the mid-palate... the finish is all about pin-point soft tannins and vibrant, almost tart acidity.... beautiful 2012 that differs from the opulent cola candy fruitbombs that so many cab makers gave you. Brilliant example of minimalist winemaking!
