A relatively complex Bojo, with the nose displaying deep, vibrant cherry fruit, a slight barnyard/sauvage note, and lots of crushed granite. In the mouth it’s dense but lean and more minerally than fruity. Great acids and a long finish. Seems a little youthfully disjointed as yet, so a little more bottle age should assist.

Bright ruby color with garnet highlights. Aromas of blackberries, purple flowers and toasted spices. Black cherry/blackberry fruit on the palate with a noticeable green “steaminess” quality. Quite funky on the finish. Bold structure, plush tannins and cutting acidity.

Had this 2022 at same time as the 2020 Chiroubles which was so spectacular it upstaged this very good Fleurie. Beep violet color, a little spice dark fruits and black stony structure with a hint of iron.
