Friday night and starting the weekend off with the 2013 Armilla Brunello di Montalcino. Still a very young wine with a lot of years ahead of it. A small batch wine of 700 cases from Siena, Tuscany.

The was a little shy in revealing itself but after some time in the glass it finally came through with cherry, strawberry, raspberry, licorice, spice, clay pot, dried roses, light oak and dry earth.

On the palate there is tart cherry, tart strawberry, red plum, red currant, mint, pepper, and earth.

This wine is medium to full bodied with medium + mouth coating sandy tannins and high acidity that takes you into a long tart fruit finish. Looks like a very nice weekend ahead, let's be safe and have a great time. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Really like me some '06 Brunelllo D'... This was exceptional for the price. Chalky, brick opening, followed by 30-60 decant which translated into earth and fruit. I will buy this again!

Not as bright as I'd hoped but enough fruit, earth and girth to make it a solid comfort wine

Not a fruit forward wine. Dry at first taste with the fruit on the back end. Hints of plum and cherry. Paired well with Campanelle and a Romano and Parmesan sauce
