Sicilia Il Frappato

Have been impressed by the White from this maker and this red did not disappoint. Nice peppery spicy notes with a more fruit forward warm climate palate than the Tavola (notes following). Very satisfying and could be paired with most foods including at this vegetarian restaurant in Williamsburg.

Funk on the nose, bright but rich red fruit, and pleasant tannic grip on the finish. Terrific with pizza. My second '13 and neither disappointed.

This is the 10th anniversary but delectable doesn't have it. Was served a bit too cold but as it warmed up it revealed more earth, funk, and a core of blue fruit. The acid gives it bounce and makes it food friendly. More earthy and less fruit forward than the regular bottling.

So lively on the palate with great minerality and bright berry fruit.

Had at nico osteria in Chicago. Amazingly delicious wine. Reminds me of an excellent trousseau

Amazing nose, muscat like, with flowers, honey. Light mouth, thin bodied and firm tannins

Crunchy red fruit, good acid. I love this style of wine.

Crushed roses, wet stones, fresh acidity. Hard to put down. Delicious!
