Maybe just the bottle (other 07s have been stellar), but this fell flat. Not literally, a fine bead of bubbles was still kicking. But the fruit was muted, the secondary notes were there but meh, and it just felt sort of blah. Maybe Blah +.

Even with (maybe because of) the lengthy tirage, this wine still beautifully captures the 2007 vintage - lean and racy golden apples and lime custard, and the depth of that time on the yeast.

Good riddance 2020 - long live 2007.

One of the best sparkling wines I've had in a long time. Definitely special. Lovely bubbles. Fresh on the palate. You taste the chardonnay in a good fruit way. Some apricot. A little toast at the finish. Goes well with food. Delicious!

Clementine, honeysuckle, slight brioche. Lots of layers. Delicious.
