Very nice aged Brunello. Definitely secondary but not in a way that is over the hill in any way. Slight bricking in the glass. Aromatically intense with a hint of prune behind lots of deep dark cherry. Tannins are still there and good acid carries the wine well. Long finish. Nice.

Nov 18th, 2018Excellent. Might be the most “young” seeming wine vs age that I’ve had. Still great acid, depth, and balance. Tannins were surprisingly a bit tough on cork pop but smoothed out with an hour in the decanter. Beautiful crimson brick color. Aromatic and delicious. Perfect with a rich short rib ragu.
