Wow- an amazing wine! Dark, rusty red with some orange hues, moves to white at edge of glass. Clear, no sediment, medium viscosity. Nose is lively with notes of oak, sweet vanilla, bright, ripe dark cherries, tobacco. Palette sees Ruby red raspberries, blueberries, tart cherries, maybe even some tomato sauce. Still lots of alcohol/power here, medium+ acid, medium+ mouthfeel. This wine is drinking amazingly, I thought it would be turning old, but I think there is at least another 5 years here. A treat!
