Stolpman Vineyard Syrah

Blueberry and intense floral aromatics. Sous Bois and slight undercurrent of iron and game. I put this in burgundy on blinding - the Syrah was polished. Very well crafted.

Brings the Northern Rhone to the table, with just a little extra oomph - but you'd be hard pressed to pick this out of an old world lineup as the ringer. At 8, just starting to stretch out - excellent with a little brisket. Or a lot of brisket.

Amendment XXI recommendation "if you like syrah you have to have this one" and it did not disappoint

This is a grafted Cab/Syrah wine that is both robust and jammy. It is frankly the only labeled Syrah I love and to me is well with its price. Well structured with nice tannins. Lots of fruit up front and a lingering pleasant finish.

Deep ruby color, blackberry- dark fruit on the nose and first taste. Great tannins and structure. Cracked pepper. Long complex finish that leaves you wanting more. Brilliant pairing with lamb and hot crash potatoes.
