Dry on the palate and simple.

Showing cherries, raspberries, currants, light wood, spices, earth, green pepper, vegetables, herbs and peppercorn.

Short finish with fine grained tannins.

Simple and better with food. Spicy with lots of green pepper and earthy notes.

Wine Boyz social took Chilean Carmenère as its theme this month. Think this might have been my fave.

On the nose, this is stewed raspberry... On the palate, raspberry, rhubarb, cherry, and beet greens... Medium body and the tannins are quite soft... Pepper in the finish... This feels quite simple, but the peppery finish is actually quite nice. Value.

Excellent wine. Very earthy.
