Alexander Valley Red Blend

Another great Aperture discovery. This blend is delicious. Similar to the cab, but more rounded of course. Could use a bit more structure.

Low acid, low structure.

All fruit, little structure. Zero acid.

Brand new release (8/26) from Aperture Cellars and Jesse Katz.

Deep purplish ruby red. Layered nose with lavender, dark cocoa, spice box, light blue fruits and some sweet spices. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Layered palate with a similar structure to their Cabernet Sauvignon but definitely a bit drier. Black cherries in the attack with a soil presence, red currants and lots of spices. Very dry and long finish. This wine is definitely a baby that will only get better with some more bottle age. Drink till 2028. (90+)

Made up of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Malbec, 25% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. | Sample

Started out hot but mellowed out mid-meal. Spicy nose, but all plum, jam, dark fruit on palate. Very round and rich, with “chewiness”. No acid at all but it worked.

Lovely red blend. Ready to drink, also has time. Winestone.

Had the 2021 vintage for Easter 2026. Absolutely excellent

Well balanced and held up greatly after a few days of storing back for another round. Low acid and tannins at the end. Lovely blend
