A delightful change of pace from all the good California pinot we’ve had lately. Damp and earthy and youthful. Red fruit, and tannins that are a bit clumsy at this early point. Firm acids lead into a slightly smokey and savory finish. Can’t wait to see it again in a few years.

Bitter, not my favorite, but a little better with time.

Very interesting village Burg but really awkward right now with all the astringent oak tannins. Floral and leafy nose with ripe raspberry, cooler blackberry fruit on the palate. Clearly well crafted and built to last but would hold off a while.
