Feb 29th, 2020Tobacco, dried leaves, basil, rosemary, high minerality - crushed stones, sanguine on the nose. Plum juice, blueberry, juicy blackberry, mocha, spices, and licorice on the palate. Still tight grippy (high) tannins. Elevated acidity. Elevated intensity, medium plus finish.

Oct 14th, 2019Old-school styling and warmer vintage character find a perfect balance in the '07 Breclemae. The nose showed tart cherry, rich plum, undergrowth, old leather, minerals, hints of wild herbs, and with time in the glass, spiced dried orange--wow. On the palate, I found a savory expression with velvety textures and saline-minerality paving the way for a mix of dried cherry and strawberry fruits. It came across as a bit rustic toward the finish but in the best possible way, with lingering mineral and earth tones. This shows incredible freshness for the vintage. #nebbiolo #ghemme
