Medium bodied red, pronounced savory character on nose, some wild cherry, underbrush. Fruitier on the palate though pleasingly racy, faint soft tannins. Really quite nice paired with Fettuccine Alfredo and thick Chicago-style sausage pizza though some vanilla notes in the pairing suggest new oak was utilized to round out this cuvée. Nevertheless, there’s substantial QPR on this #veneto half-decade old wine for $9 at #costco
