Wonderful Napa Cab. Great restraint with the mountain fruit shining. Great tannin integration with plenty of legs left. Proud to have worked there.

Great Atlas Peak Cabernet. Subtle nose of dark fruit. I don’t normally drink 15 year old Cabernets from Napa but this wine has great tastes of dark plums, blackberries and a little cinnamon. Despite the age the tannins are still a little gritty but not unbearable. This bottle was bought from the winery in January. I like it and look forward to trying some younger vintages I have in my collection.

Picked this 2003 up at a Bassin's Napa Barrel Tasting event 4 years ago. This has aged beautifully and I think it's the Antinori presence that gives this enough acidity to balance the rich, blackberry liqueur and black currant nose with just a slightest hint of pipe tobacco and green pepper. Long and elegant finish without any evident RS. Tannins still present and, at well over a dozen years, this is still youthful.
