Finally some good luck with Austrian reds in Vienna this weekend. Good balance overall, with black pepper and dark red fruit prominent. Pretty tannic still, yet also juicy and fairly persistent. Half bottle.

Expressive nose with black peppercorns, cloves, crushed rock, a hint of iron & blood, underneath all that - pure black fruit. Fresh, spicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with ripe, grippy tannins, juicy black fruit acidity and nice purity to the fruit. This has grip, good tension, quite some power and loads of character. Reminiscent of Northern Rhône.
