Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2019 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruits: Montmorency cherry, plums, horse barn, purple and red flowers, crushed rocks and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and laden with minerals. This is not faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Drink now through 2029.

Not sure why the ratings on this are so low. This is quite good with rich, bold and ripe fruit. Earthy with plum, boysenberry and blueberry. Don't hate on Austrian reds. This is really good.

For the price. Phenomenal value. Austrian reds are so underrated. Sour cherries. Super light tannins. Well balanced acid and 12.5% abv. Cool climate reds killin it in the New York summer

Half bottle. For $10 this really delivers. Tons of unripe black cherry, blueberry, and blackberry notes with a strong spicy kick on the finish. I can't get enough of the nittnaus wines, whether they're the top of the range or the entry levels.

Decent, almost obscenely bright fruit, developed a bit more subtlety w/time, short finish but also 14$

Natural red from Austria. Lots of funk, dry acidic and light. Drinkable but not recommendable.
