Anima Negra
ÀN/2 Callet Blend
Prev notes apply - absolutely delicious on so many levels. Totally worth tippling. I mean, c’mon, can you remember the last wine you had that was mad from goblet trained grapes?

Nose: spice, red cherry, stewed raspberry. Palate: bright red fruits, smooth, spice. Enough acidity and lightness to be a great Summer sipper, and enough structure & spice to hold up to cold weather. "This unique red is made from old vine Callet, Mantonegre-Fogoneu and Syrah fermented in a combination of stainless steel and concrete—macerated only briefly to retain the freshness and flavors of the fully ripe fruit. Aged for just over one year in a combination of 80% French barriques and 20% American oak. This wine pairs excellently with pork chops, rabbit ravioli, or roasted leg of duck"

Drinkability but not complex, especially for $30 a bottle. Polished and shiny.

Wow this is neat wine from Mallorca.
Smells as if it has been filtered through cavernous cliffs. The fruit is all flinty, bright, and interesting. Lots of pit and rind, a great wine that showcases how well wines can grow and absorb the ocean air. The Saline shows itself in the wine, if only slightly.
Enjoyed at one of José Andrés fine establishments.
