Fruit forward but slight dryness develops with time. Great wine with a fantastic steak at La Vaca Negra!

Oaky, smoky notes make way to a bright plum, fig and red fruit jam scent. Yummy! The palate is well balanced : a strong acid backbone with a lot of length, a bright fruit all along, some thick, gentle, almost marshmallow like touch on the sides, this is almost sugary and borderline too sweet for my taste. No tannins to speak of and a very long fruity finish on the sweet side. It's a no brainer and the sheer acid makes it bearable and actually balanced. Good job, on the sweet side.

Best Portuguese wine I’ve had on this trip, but still tastes a little like root beer for me. Likely rained from my previous bottle.

Another nice duoro wine in Niall's with an Italian sausage pasta dish. Went down very nicely.

Another great value red from Portugal. Half aged in French oak and half in American, it drinks like a slightly lighter California red. Something kind of weird on the finish, but mostly fruit and chocolate. Would buy again.

Smooth blend of Douro varietals Touriga Franca, Touriga National, and Tinta Roriz. Very fruity with balanced oak. Really like this one, maybe because the grapes are unusual for a California girl.
