Andrew Will’s top selection, I was stunned at how good this was.

This was consumed from bottle over the course of about four hours. Dark purple at the core, with just a touch of red starting to grow around the rim. The first hour this was open, it seemed disjointed as it had a pronounced herbal twang and sawdust note. Hours 2-4 this totally blossomed and became one of the best WA state cabs I’ve ever had, especially at the price. This leans to the dark fruit side of the spectrum (blackberry, black currant) highlighted by streaks of bright/high toned red fruits. Beautiful nose of tobacco, dark chocolate and mocha to go along with the fruit. Mid palate has a beautiful mineral/and scorched black cherry core and finishes with silky tannins. Extremely well balanced and seems like it’s nearing the top of its potential.

A complex blend - day 1 was disjointed, day 2 came together. Beautiful.

Owned by Chris Camarda, Andrew Will Winery was started in 1989, and named after his son Will and nephew Andrew. A blend of 67% Cab Sauvignon, 20% Merlot & 13% Cab Franc, aged 18 months in French oak (35% new), beautiful aromas of fruit, herb and tobacco. Complex, with blackberry & ripe raspberry with smoky oak notes, some spice on gripping tannins. Lingering finish ending with mineral and earthy notes. Fantastic Bordeaux blend. A Fav!!

Blackberry, raspberry, cherry, vanilla, mossy earth and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.

Andrew Will wine tasting tonight at the storage facility. My knowledge and experience with WA state wines is small, so this was a great evening to learn and enjoy some very good wines.

WOTN for me. Just in a better spot than the rest. This had more blue fruits than the others and that's a favorite tasting note of mine. Rich, full bodied and bursting forth with blue and black on the nose. Still a bit tannic, but already very good with a 2-hr decant. A great showing from their flagship wine.

More oak here I believe, and built to age. This wine has great interplay between all the compontents: fruit, acid, body, tannins. Delicious wine.
