Andis Wines
Deadman's Fork Vineyard Mourvedre
Sample.
Second red from Andis Wines. Bright garnet red. Very complex nose with a bunch of meaty notes like bacon fat and gamey notes. Plenty of undertones of flowers, cinnamon, spices and some light greenery. Not as complex as the nose but on the palate there are some red cherries, bacon fat and floral notes. Moderate tannins (5/10) and light bodied. Great acidity with a moderate finish. Drink till 2019.

One of the best Spanish varietals I've had. Spicy and minerals on the nose...light bodied, cherry, hint of tobacco, pomegranate, and orange peel. Pleasantly dry, clean finish!

Feb 25th, 2016Traditionally One of the noble grapes of Spain and Southern France, Mourvèdre has found a new home in Amador County. Multifaceted with a wonderful interplay of berry and spice with a smoky finish, the 2012 Andis Mourvèdre is a bold, highly expressive, and interesting wine. 100% Mourvèdre.
