May 18th, 202407' Anderson Conn Valley Reserve. We opened a bottle of this several years ago, it wasn't showing particularly well. I was hoping for the best tonight , I'm thinking we came close.
Which seems to be my usual one hour decanting along side the Agharta. This 100% Cabernet shows very little signs of aging at all. This is NOT a powerhouse of wine. Light/medium- bodied cab. Layers of black fruits .Very expressive, nice mouth feel to it. A slightly shortened finish? Light sediment. I don't think this wine is peaking yet?
Edit- The tannins have dissipated, but the acidity is still rather present. Thinking it's got another 8/10 very good years in it.

Delicious. Solid performance, classy and a bit restrained for the vintage. Drinking great...

Apr 26th, 2016Medium bodied, dark, but restrained fruit and seamless oak is seamless. Lots pleasure without distinction.

May 7th, 2021Nice bouquet, but not that distinctive on its own. However, it’s flavor soars when paired with a fatty meat. We paired it with roasted lamb and raspberry sauce, which balanced the tannins and brought out hints of cherry and blackberry.

Aug 6th, 2020Hard to go wrong with any CVV. Had with lamb chops on 7/11 and chicken Caesar on 7/13. Just delicious.

Jul 14th, 20202 days later....still going strong! Getting more earthy and herbal tones now. The wine is soooo smooth, yet still has power and excellent texture! Going great with sausages and a hopeful Richmond win in the NIT!!
