New producer that was unfamiliar to me, but this bottle has left me intrigued and interested to try more. Very generous and thoughtful gift from a coworker and friend. Dark red hue, medium acidity, with floral, candied cherries, strawberry, black pepper, vanilla, baking spices, and cinnamon notes. The french oak is evident on the palate (my guess 40% new French Oak). Surprisingly very smooth with refined tannins. Age has done this bottle justice. My wife loved it! (Happy Wife, Happy Life). Thanks Ryan! Looks like this was my 500th wine!
