Nice Gruner Veltliner from Wachau, not the best example I've had. Very citrusy with a strong lemon and grapefruit flavour and leafy herbaceous notes. Comes to life a bit more on the palate with some stone fruit and dried fruit character. #wsetschool

2000 Alzinger- Great weight and minerality, a little fresh pea, and great acidity, it's in a good place right now.

Super textural. Powerful but oh so elegant in its composition and poise. This is the spicy/vegetal side of GV. Fresh peas, legume, white pepper, MINERALS, yellow plums, blossoms. No botrytis just super clean and focused. A little wound up this really can use a quick decant.
