Classic Russian River Pinot character. Bright Cherry fruit, tobacco and silky, round finish. Could benefit from some additional acidity, but tasty.

Opened this to impress some friends during a Pinot tasting. Upon opening we all agreed there was too much vanilla attributed to the oak. Wine opens up nicely after a while, but all-in-all preferred the 2011.

Edit: After 6 months or so in the bottle the oak aromas have dissipated and the wine is drinking fantastically. Sad to hear Gary Farrell has retired as the winemaker, but excited to see what they produce in the future.

Silky smooth. Cranberry, pomegrante, tart red plum and red cherry. Get the 2011 while you can unless you prefer the riper 2012 vintage. Every guest I've sold it to has said, "Wow." Beautiful wine for the price.

Even for this 2015 Pinot, it needed some time to open and it became a very expressive Pinot with many layers of flavors ending with a lingering mineral finish.

Light with red cherries and berries with a hint of pepper on the finish.
