A fuller bodied, richer style of dry Riesling. Reminiscent of Smaragd from Austria. — 6 years ago

Super ripe apricots and golden apples with mandarin orange, button mushroom, spicy bell pepper, honey, flowers, and beeswax on the nose. Fruits continue onto palate with ginger spice and cinnamon. Finish reminds me of Apple Jacks. A touch of RS. Fun wine, a good expression. — 8 years ago

Stunning. Tart yet round with strawberries, apples, oranges, and minerals. As it warms up there is prominent butter and spice. I need to find more. — 9 years ago

Very light in color, smoky. Reminds me more of a Corvina, Pinot Noir or even a light Grenache disguised as Etna Rosso. Not much to it. — 7 years ago

If it just rained on a bunch of rocks and slate, then you took some lemons, limes, and granny smith apples and crushed them along with their blossoms, that's what this wine smells and tastes like to me. Very dry to me for a feinherb. There's also some petrol-y stuff (think new garden hose) in there too for sure. Then again, I'm catching a cold. Didn't care for the wine at first, but it has grown on me as it warms up in the glass. — 8 years ago

This wine smells like a berry pie with a graham cracker crust. Blueberry dominant with hints of raspberry and blackberry. Slightly dusty nose. Fruits are more tart on the palate. Medium plus body with lush mouthfeel, smooth tannin, and nice mineral finish. Great value, would buy again. — 9 years ago

Holy crap. If you want a light bodied crushable red, this is your guy! Fermented in stainless steel and macerated on the skins for 10 days, it is a beauty. Fresh, lovely balance of tart strawberries, raspberry, and red cherries with delicate earth undertones. I might be angry if I had to share this bottle with others. — 7 years ago

Showing really, really well right now. 13.5% and starting to develop some qualities that remind me of Burgundy. Wish I had a second bottle. — 8 years ago

I'll come right out and say that I received this bottle as a free sample. Despite that, I have to admit that it's a fantastic wine. It tastes like sour cherries, cured meat, leather, and blood -- in a good way. It's exactly what it should be and more. I would buy a case just for myself. — 9 years ago
