Sipping Fine Wine

Founded in 1995 by a consortium of prominent Italian winemakers, including Alberto Antonini of Antinori and Antonio Morescalchi. Dark Ruby with full ripe black fruit nose. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with notes of pepper and herb spice. Fine tannins slightly acidic on medium length ending with spicy notes.

A wine with the scent of wet linen stained with cherries, red plums, and allspice. It’s un-oaked—fermented in stainless and aged in concrete piletas—but curiously the body has a distinct holiday spice character, notes of anise and bitter herbs, and a finish like tobacco mingling with chocolate. Shards of tart fruits pierce the wine’s middle, but the overall effect is somewhat dark and muddled. 14.2% abv | sample
