On the nose: spiced plum, blackberry, black cherry, chocolate, toasty oak, and something vaguely herbal...dill or rosemary perhaps.
Good concentrated dark fruit that's slightly confected... reminiscent of grape bubble gum even. Blackberries, plums, with grippy tannins and some sweet oak in the finish.
Nice dark fruit, good integration of oak, and good structure. A steak wine for sure. I wish I would have waited a few years for the tannins to soften a bit.
