Sipping Fine Wine

Founded in 1997 and owned by the d'Aulan family, former owners of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne house. Dark red with black fruit aromas and earthy notes. On the palate blackberry and plum with herb pepper on smooth rich tannins. Surprisingly complex wine with good mouthfeel, lingering ending with oak tones. Nice value.

Right out of the bottle it's HOT. 15% alcohol. Give it some time and it opens up with good tannin structure, black fruit and good acids. Hard to beat the this for the dollar value.
