Founded in 1997 and owned by the d'Aulan family, former owners of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne house. Dark red with black fruit aromas and earthy notes. On the palate blackberry and plum with herb pepper on smooth rich tannins. Surprisingly complex wine with good mouthfeel, lingering ending with oak tones. Nice value.

Color of dark ruby, quite cloudy, with purple on the rim. Nose of black cherry, raisin, sweet dried strawberry, crayon, oak, and a bit leathery. Taste of subtle acidity, black cherry and sweet grapes, polished tannins, spice, sweet oak, good flavors and right amount, very tasty. Aftertaste of some more peppery note, vanilla, medicinal note, medium long. She deserves high notes considering her quality and cost.

Feb 7th, 2019Right out of the bottle it's HOT. 15% alcohol. Give it some time and it opens up with good tannin structure, black fruit and good acids. Hard to beat the this for the dollar value.

Strong flavors with a heavy alcohol finish. Good nose but I've had better Cabs.
