Much richer on the nose than the 08. Fruits are riper as well. Strong black raspberry cola, mint & eucalyptus, sage, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, anise and decayed dark florals. On the palate; lots of lifting heated spices immediately at it sets. Blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, black raspberry cola, mint & eucalyptus, sage, anise, underbrush, soft leather, wood shavings, soy, fair amount of baking spices, good round acidity and a thick, round, elegant long finish.

Blackberries, plum, black plum, black raspberries, soy sauce, backing spices, cedar, soft leather, underbrush, crushed dry rocks, anise, soft but good intensity of spices, lavender, lilacs, round acidity and long fruit and spiced finish.

Another wine with a great future but is extremely young right now. If guessing blind, I don’t think I would have called this Howell Mtn...seemed more like Pritchard Hill. Fruit is very inky and juicy. Freshly squeezed blackberries and raspberries. Chalky on the palate. Some sweet tobacco up front on the palate but it turns pretty herbal towards the end. Give it time.

Really disappointed. Nice tasting, but lacked any real finish or mouthfeel. There has been a lot of buzz about this wine - and TRB as winemaker - which, in my opinion, does not hold true. It was really flat and certainly not inline with other similar priced wines.
