El Jabali Vineyard Mt. Eden Clone Pinot Noir

Hot finish. Not much fruit.

Dry, pepper and olive; blackberry

10 years in. Still full of fruit. Age has rounded it out a bit. Wish I had more than what’s left in cellar (2 bottles).

Silly smooth Pinot with nice depth and complexity.

Was a 9.2 yesterday, but after sitting overnight it definitely improved. The wood seems more integrated and the whole thing is more vibrant. Nice balance of fruit and earth. I'll hang on to my other bottle of this for awhile.

A gift from the legendary James Gourley Cellar Selections Inc., this pinot delivers....dark fruit, spice, and oak in spades...delicious...

Really interesting pinot. Nose of spicy cherry pie that's just a bit warm, with root vegetable accents. Palate is super-complex with mouth-coating somewhat grainy tannins. The oak was too pronounced on opening but has softened with time.

Beautiful pinot noir. So well-balanced with a velvety texture. My favorite of the 2013 Alma Rosa pinots.

This was a bit medicinal on opening but evolved a bit over time and showed the cherry pie with spicy accents I've come to know from alma rosa. Good.

Perfect example of the clone. At great place at five years old
