New release alert ‼️

Thank you Alkoomi for this sample bottle.

It’s a juicy dark red plum colour in the glass. Notes of black peppered berries and plums come through on the nose. Good oomph, super consumable and highly enjoyable.

A surprising fruit bomb that ticks all the boxes for a juicy Shiraz 😋

👀 dark cherry/plum
👃 sarsaparilla(vanilla cherries liquorice), peppercorn, minerality
👅 pepper, juicy full bodied long finish great tannins

This how my weekend came to a close - and what a tasty way to enjoy those last moments of Sunday. This Alkoomi 2016 Shiraz from WA’s Frankland River (Great Southern Region) retails for approx $15. It spends 9 months in French oak barrels.

It’s a brilliant crimson colour in the glass with a nose that has me picturing a piece of peppered steak with some sort of cherry jus on the side. There’s also a hint of cedar wood in there. And in the mouth it’s juicy, gluggable and a wonderful match to bbq dining on the patio.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine

Lovely purple color, this seems simple grapey aromas and flavors at this point, needs to settle down and I can imagine liking it more down the road.

New release alert!! Alkoomi Wines have started selling their 2014 Shiraz to eager palates! Alkoomi are a winery in the Great Southern wine region of WA.

Deep sultry red-garnet colour on the eye. Lovely black fruit and spice aromas dominate the nose with a touch of meaty savouriness. In the mouth I enjoyed nuances of black pepper and cherries with firm tannins holding it together. The wine ends on a slightly smokey note 👌

Got this for 11.99 a bottle and would be hard pressed to find better value. Berry and currant flavours. Lovely
