Ahh it’s lovely. Light, pear & golden color leads to a nose that truly benefits from a breathe. We decanted it and glad we did. For such a young wine it’s really rather remarkable how mature the Trout Gulch Chardonnay expresses itself. The body is round and luscious for its price and the finish has solid staying-power.

Trout Gulch single vineyard at a great price. And I won $20 bucks from a friend who bet it was French. I declined the money and asked for a bottle. I found this Alfaro to be typically Cali... with a bit of oak, butter, almond, and tartness... all in balance and not overpowering.

VVVVVVVAAAAAALLLLLLLUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE it's hard to drink this stuff because it's actually too good. It's like it's so cheap it's a goddamn shame because I will not hold on to any of these. I WILL BE DRINKING THEM AND BARELY BELIEVING I PAID LESS THAN $20 a bottle 😮
