Alexana
Signature Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

This 2009 unfortunately has not held up, not unexpected for the vintage. On the down side of its peak, likely a peak experienced 2 years ago. Still held fruit, but not distinguished, soil adrift. Slight oxidation on immediate pour. Surely at its prime it was more demonstrative of soil and fruit.

Apr 1st, 2019This is a big broody Pinot for Oregon despite 13.9% alcohol. Stewed fruit and earth with a cherry/strawberry finish. Would go great with heavy meals.
