Alexana
Revana Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir
Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
This young Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely now. Showing mild complexity and a soft mouth feel.
Good right out of the bottle and gets earthier as it opens up. Good by itself and better with food.
This Single Vineyard is still young, and would age nicely in the next 7 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 2 to 5 years. Showing great potential.
I paired it with Italian Prosciutto and goat cheese.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
$55.

Insanely awesome Pinot which drinks like a Cab. It’s right up your alley if you are a big style Pinot drinker. My favorite winery from Oregon! The vibes are from Latache. It does get much better than this! Badass in a glass and an awesome Palate cleanser.

Had the Revana cab, figured I should try the Alexana Pinot. This Pinot was perfect on this Texas patio evening. Very refreshing. Without a doubt, this needs to be served slightly more chilled than others. Gorgeous red fruits splash the tongue...strawberry, cloudberries, lingonberries (all those cold weather fruits). Great integration of funky earthiness and herbs. Very small Spice on the backend, but not peppery. Overshadowed by the EnRoute, but a wine I'd absolutely buy again. Happy birthday @Cody Cotten !

I love it when an Oregon Pinot acts like an Oregon Pinot. Beauty and silk.

A more voluptuous 2013. Creamy vanilla, nose is super sexy, smooth, accessible.
